After an extensive year-long search with leading recruitment consultants Spencer Stuart, Schillings is proud to announce that Partner David Imison has been appointed to the role of CEO, effective from May 2022.

Following the granting of the firm’s Alternative Business (ABS) licence ten years ago, David Imison was the firm’s first non-legal client adviser, hired as part of the strategy to transform Schillings into a multi-disciplinary business.

Having initially developed his career at one of the Big 4 and within a fast-growing technology business, David joined Schillings in 2012 as a Director of the Advisory division and was made Partner in 2016.  During his tenure at Schillings David has grown the advisory practice areas from a standing start to over 20 FTE’s, with £7m of revenue. In the process he has led major projects for some of the firm’s largest client’s, helping them solve complex reputation, privacy and security problems.

David has been instrumental in transforming Schillings into the firm it is today, with its game-changing multi-disciplinary approach to privacy, security and reputation. During the past ten years, he has seen first-hand how the threats our clients face have evolved. This expertise, coupled with David’s bold and innovative leadership style, will steer Schillings’ growth and rapid evolution in the coming years.

Speaking to Citywealth about his new role, David commented,

'I wouldn’t have had the opportunities to grow and take on the CEO role if it wasn’t for the current leadership team. I am very happy that I will join them in shaping the next chapter of the firm’s history. Rod Christie-Miller, our brilliant CEO of 15 years, will take on the role of Executive Chair. Keith Schilling remains our Senior Partner and inspirer in chief, focusing on litigation strategies for our clients.'

Rod Christie-Miller, Executive Chair, said,

‘During the search process we met many very credible and experienced candidates; however, it became clear that David had the desire and vision to take the firm to the next level.’

Keith Schilling, Senior Partner commented,

‘David has made a significant contribution to the growth and development of the firm, and when he expressed a wish to be considered for the CEO role, I was very pleased. He understands our culture and values, has a head for business, and I know he will successfully lead the firm’s growth.’
